Dorset Holiday Cottages: The Area.
These attractive Dorset Holiday Cottages are peacefully situated between the Dorset Downs and the Blackmore Vale in the Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Domineys Cottages are tucked away off a 'No through' road leading to farms and footpaths, making them an ideal holiday cottage base from which to explore Dorset's wonderful countryside - with rural landscapes which have retained their tranquil beauty over the centuries.
Dorset is steeped in history, offering castles, abbeys, museums, National Trust properties and other historic houses and gardens to visit, as well as World Heritage Coastline, wildlife parks and bird and nature reserves which may be of interest. Golf, fishing and horse riding are also possible.
The woods and fields here are home to foxes, deer, badgers, buzzards, ravens and herons with the small birds, butterflies and moths in the garden.
The Jurassic Coast path is complimented by many country footpaths to take you far from the madding crowd, including several which start right on your doorstep. There are many attractive pubs and restaurants in adjacent villages, a short drive away, at Pulham, Middle Marsh, Cerne Abbas and in the Piddle Valley.
Our Dorset Holiday Cottages are located in Buckland Newton (Hardy's Newland Buckton), about eleven miles from the attractive towns, Sherborne, Dorchester and Sturminster Newton. They are within easy driving distance of Bristol, Bath, Salisbury, Bournemouth, Exeter and the Dorset coast..
